Snow, Snow and more Snow
Last night DD Jenifer and I shoveled out the driveway and the front walk at about 4:30 PM. We cleaned off the cars and thought we did such a good job. At that point there was at least 8 inches on the ground. When I went to bed at 10PM it was snowing like crazy again. Woke up this morning to at least 5 more inches and had to shovel all over again. The cars had ice under the snow and the doors were frozen shut. If anyone would love snow, they are welcome to come and get some. I would give it away for free. I am sick of it. The only good thing about it is that I look on the shoveling as good Cardio. Spring can't come soon enough. I think February is the longest month of the year. Okay, I guess that I have whined enough for today.

Women are Ground Breakers
If you have ever thought about how women were granted the right to vote or do not appreciate what our foremothers went through to get us that right, you will want to read this post on Blushing Rose Blog. It really makes you appreciate that privilege. Find the story at http://blushingrosetoo.blogspot.com/

STOLEN QUILT ALERT
if someone out there is reading my blog and has my Charming Circles quilt, please return it to me. No questions asked. Really and truly. Or if you see my quilt — just ask the person who has it if they would please give it back. I would just like my quilt returned. Sure, the quilt is small (only 22″ x 22″) and no, it hasn’t won any awards. But that’s not the point. The point is, I made that quilt and it is special to me. It was meant to be part of a collection that would help inspire many other quilters to create a quilt from precuts or scraps. It wasn’t yours to take. So please send it back. Think about how you would feel if someone took a quilt you had made. Not too good, am I right?
This is part of a post from Kimberly's blog. If you would like to read the whole thing, go to her blog. How any quilter could think they were entitled to take the work of another quilter is beyond me. Wouldn't your conscience bother you every time you looked at it?

This is our new family member. Her name is Molly, We adopted her from a lovely family who couldn't keep her. It is a long time since we had a dog. Our little Peppy had to be put to sleep quite a few years ago and I was a little leery about getting another dog. Molly seems very sweet tempered. She is about 5 years old and is making herself at home here.
