Quilt Guild Winners

At a meeting of our Quilt Guild last night we had a real treat. It seems that at least four of our members had entered quilts in an area Quilt Show and won ribbons. How nice to see that we have such talented members. It really makes me feel inferior as I have only been quilting for about 3 years and haven't attempted anything really complicated. Everyone showed the quilts that won and they were beautiful. Some of the quilts had taken a couple of years to complete.

Almost done

Continuing to work on my Double Wedding Ring Table runner. I am not too happy with how it is turning out. The corners which are jewel tones are too bright for rest of the runner. The instructor told us to use jewel tones and as I am looking at it the stand out too much.

Quilting Gallery Spring Mini Quilt

Here is a photo of the mini quilt I made for the swap. It went to Ros in the United Kingdom. It was my first try at lots of applique and quilting anything but stitch in the ditch.

Working on Double Wedding Ring

My guild held Quilt Camp a couple of weeks ago. We had a class on the QuiltSmart method of making a Double Wedding Ring. As a starter, I am doing a table runner. Hope to finish it this week and post a photo. It is such an easy method using a template and fusible interfacing that is marked with the arc.

I cannot believe it!!

Husqvarna Viking has discontinued parts on some of their machines. I just bought a Viking 400 with 1 of the thread door hinges missing. My Sewing Machine Guy tells me that the part is no longer available. What are they thinking? I guess they want people to ditch their old machines and buy new ones.

Mini Quilt Swap

Received my Mini Quilt block today. It is from a BOM called Shabby Roses. The blog is Jenny of ELEFANTZ. Here is the photo of the Mini Quilt. The little quilt is beautiful. It must have taken many hours of work. Thanks Linda.
